When ever I start installing something from my DVD drive my PC just slows down, the sound skips and my mouse skips all over the place. Whats up with that? Is there a fix for it? Im using XP Pro x64.
Its only when installing like I have Hellgate in there now and its not lagging but if I start to install it it gets laggy.

If the RAID controller is enabled in BIOS you may as well instal it, otherwise, no. I have my RAID controller disabled because it makes my boot time longer since there are no SATA drives in my tower.
