cant save on second hdd

for some reason i cant find my second hdd to save anything onto it, it can only pick up the one, i check in the bios and they are both there (one is in sata 5 and the other is in sata 6)

Is it a new hdd? If so, make sure that it is formatted under Disk Management and is 100% healthy.

yea its a new hdd , how do ya format it, hehe

Go into Control Panel/Admin Tools. Then on the list on the left should be one that says Disk Management (should be towards the bottom). The new disk will show up as raw, so right click and choose to create new partition. Depending on the size, you can create individual partitions, or format the entire drive at once.

Ahh. Depending on your current os hdd, I could probably keep that in one, or possibly two large storage partitions. The reason I like two is so I can manipulate one of them with a dual boot if I get the urge, then be able to keep a large storage partiton accessable. I have just recieved a friends harddrive that he was too lazy to RMA, so if I return it I get my 4th hdd. 1.4 Tera once it gets back:rockout:... Don't ever do what I've done, its a pain in the ass.:o

Glad to hear it. It took me a while back when I installed my second hdd to figure out what the hell was going on:p.
