Are you getting the Asus P5K or the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L?
If I were you I would get this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130098R) instead. It's basically the same as the P35 Platinum, but with our firewire or the roller-coaster heatpipe design. I just ordered 1 myself due to it's good OC capabilities, all solid caps and silent heatpipe cooling.
the people in this thread (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=161618) have got some great OC out of it.
I was looking for a budget P35 board like you but I ruled out the Asus P5K (they use low quality components for their low end motherboards) and cheap Gigabyte (prefered the MSI heatpipe system).
good luck!

well with the extra money i was more thinking of using a brandnew board and the gigabyte is highly rated
after the problems with the MSI installed right now, i dont want another one, it does OC, but lacks stabilty with it, i choose it because my K8N Neo FSR did great, but this K9N Neo-F V3 sucks balls.

i wouldnt get a rosewill power supply but if you trust it then go right ahead.
if you dont have a cpu cooler for the e2160 yet get this: ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134&Tpk=arctic%2bcooling). its cheap and its all you need for a e21xx processor to overclock over 3.0ghz.

Yeah unless you're gonna overclock that little bad boy, I suggest going for something with a little more power in the gigahertz area of things. I built a system for the next door neighbour with one of these, it's great for apps and lower intensity games, but with a 9600GT you're gonna want to crank that rez up real high.

i choose the gigabyte P35 DS3L as the board to pair it with just so i can push it to max on air lol. Ive heared 3.2-3.4 is quite possible
