I'm trying to put windows 98se on a comp to play the older games. I've loaded the os and am having problems with the chip set drivers. The board has an Intel i845 GL chip set. I've found drivers from Intel that are for 98se and that chip set. After instalation, I'm gettting an error measage after the os boots, and saids:

Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controler

Device Type Display adapters

Manufacturer Intel corperation

Hardware Version 001

Device status:
This device cannot find any free Input/Output Range (I/O)
resources to use (Code 12)

If you want to use this device, you must first disable another
device that is using the resources this device needs.

I'm not sure what to do to correct this, any ideas??????
Nothing else has been istalled other than the os and the chip set drivers.
the cpu I'm using is a 2.4MHz Celeron, socket 478

Recent hardware have stopped providing drivers for win98.Did you try compatability mode in XP.You can also try virtualisers.
