I'm pretty sure the Athlon is better, isn't it still a dual-core??

I think the dual core ones your thinking of are the BE's. The LE's are like Athlon Single Core revisions I think.

LE is a 90nm cored a64 the clock like beasts way better than a sempron

many believe them to be windsor chips with a core disabled

ok jus got the exact name....

AMD LE-1640 Orleans 2.6GHz 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 45W Single-Core Processor

is that better than any sempron? better than the highest number of sempron?

Yes...it is, due to much higher clocks, and L2 cache.

Yes, they do clock like beasts. Not sure what core they may be (could be Windsor as CDAWALL suggested) also, them Opties like the 1212 (74.99 at newegg) clock like a mug!
