Router problem

hey guys I have a wireless linksys router and I am constantly being disconnected (about once every five minutes). I have a static ip address and have tried multiple wireless channels. I know i might have to provide some more information and will ve happy to do so. Also i do not have this problem on my ipod touch.

The router number and revision of the router would definitely help.

It sounds like it needs new firmware to me.

I upgraded the firmware about a month ago and this problem just started up about a week ago

also my adapter is only 15 feet away from my router
