go with antec earthwatts or corsair power supply instead. you want the power supply to be a good brand. buy.com tends to have corsair's at way cheaper prices than newegg

overall looks pretty good to me. what cpu cooler is your friend going to use to overclock? here's a suggestion. drop down to e2160, it will oc to 3.0ghz on the slightest cpu cooler such as the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler or even stock cooler in some cases depending on your luck and case cooling. with the money saved get a 9600gt which can be found in the $150 range.

Blood Iron is sweet for a budget board. If you'd like some confirmed Micron D9's, just like the chips in the AxeRam, try Buffalo Firestix. They are on sale, and cheaper than the Transcends:
