i have looked into raptors for years and seagate 7.10 drive and the new 7.11 rpm drives and i have had a raid setup two but never looked into scsi setups and when ive had a little look the drives are cheap ish for a 15k drive but its connecting it to the motherboard without loosing perfromance which is a problem.

any1 got a solution for the price i have in mind or some bench's to convince me to do or or get a small raid setup or raptor!! i know im going to gain a little as i only want it for my os and page file and maybe a few games i play a lot(not for storage so a 2tb raid is not what i want)

ideas?

Well....server SCSI drives are massive expensive....but the are fast. 15Krpm or something along those lines.
But then, you'll have to nab interface cards, etc etc to make that all work

In my opinion, I'd go with a RAID0 with 2 or 4 drives, 10K RPM SATAII interface (i think SATAII will not bottleneck those drives, methinks). Just.....make sure to back up >__< if one of those drives fail, you're pretty much screwed.
