My fathers boss owned the Drag strip and area around it, so it was a big thing in the forgotten city. Love the smell, and just believe like you Imp that Imports are for looks only.

round here - if you don't have a stock exhaust, it's an invitation for a ricer to try and race you.

drive's me nuts. I've got a '99 Grand Am GT with the 3400v6 that I've done a cat-back exhaust, fender-well CAI, replaced the stock injectors with Accel units, fuel pres regulator, tranny-line booster, Accel DIS coils + Taylor wires + ACD irridiums (no missfire - ever, even in the middle of summer with 95F air temps with 90% humidity and running for 3 hours straight and hard; scanner never flags for knock retard); bored TB, and snagged a programmed PCM (I could prob get another 10-15hp if I had the equipment currently to tune the motor to our regional climate) . . . all bolt on stuff, I have yet to get into the motor - car interior and exterior is still stock and all panels and trim are accounted for; she'll keep pace with late model Mustang GTs. 14s in a 1/4 ain't bad for a 3400lb v6, IMO.

Got a block at work that I intend to bore out and stroke, plus do all the port matching and port shaping. It's possible to take one of these v6 from 3.4L to 3.7L - she'll be all custom parts, though :ohwell: IDK, I might just do a mild bore, stronger rods (incase I ever slap a turbo on it), swap the cam and do the port work. I'll be happy if this heavy beast can run in the 13s N/A. Possible, but she'll take some work.
