Ok i feel like a noob asking this of course because i have a decent amount of experience all around but basically I cant figure out for the life of me how AVIVO works. I have an x850xtpe and an x1950xtx both ATI brand and i want to record the signal from the x850xtpe on the x1950xtx can someone explain how to do this plz? I mean i have the svideo out from the x850xtpe plus an adapter to regular a/v and it hooked into the a/v in of the x1950xtx. If I have to use a (VGA or DVI) to (s-vid or a/v) adapter on the x850xtpe then hook it into the in one of the video in ports on the x1950xtx tell me. The point is im hoping to record the information coming in to my computer in any format i do not care.

Basically I am stumped i spent over 6 hrs googling and found nothing to help me. I dont know maybe the ATI site is misleading. Just tell me what I would have to do to get this to work. Preferably without buying hardware.

I don't quite follow. If your source material IS what your x850xtpe is providing, wouldn't you just need a capture program?

VIVO (Video In/Video Out)is mostly for people wanting to transfer video in (like from a camcorder/VCR/TV/video game console) and record to their HDD with "increased" quality.

VIVO is video in video out but avivo i think is their thing for decodeing video files with acceleration? [btw vivo hasnt worked on my card since like early driver revisions and even then it was streached all funkey, now it just crashes when i try to use it :(
