Hi all.
I need a huge favor from someone who has the videocard that I use.
I need the BIOS from a Visiontek X1950Pro AGP 256MB XGE card. It seems it got corrupted somehow so I can rarely even get the OS to load. and most of the time I get a fulscreen BIOS recovery message upon power on. Never really thought about backing it up and I cannot find it anywhere on the net or here on techPowerUp!
Thanks for your help in advance!

Hey welcome to the forums, I'll have a scout around if I have time. I'm at work y'see.

D'you know the make of RAM y'card has, and any other details as some cards might differ.

You could always ask VisionTek themselves... Contact Us (http://www.visiontek.com/corporate/contact.html)

BTW, forgot to mention, for those who don't know, you can use GPU-Z (http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1031/mirrors.php) to extract the bios from your card as seen on the screenshot that I attached to this message.

Thanks for super fast reply, boards like these are always great places to be in.
I'll get those specs you've asked about asap.
You see, it's an audio studio PC, a rack mountable beast wich takes forever to unmount.

Well don't worry too much about the RAM spec, I don't think it should matter too much. Unfortunately I've been busy so I haven't been able to have a good old search but I will get things quieten down a bit.

UPDATE: Right, this is best I can do, as I'm work I really don't have the time to go through the posts so you'll have to do the hardware. I hope you find it.

"Somehow?" If it did get somehow corrupted then send the card in to get it RMA'ed instead of flashing it and voiding the warranty.

That's if it's still under warranty.

I was able to extract the existing vga BIOS and read it with RaBiT so I thought that the problem laid somewhere else instead. Turned out it was memory clocks causing it.
I tried less agressive RAM clocks and it went back to normal. A little strange, since I went with manufacturer's recommendations and it worked for a while, guess it has something to do with mobo not supporting such clocks.
I want to thank you guys for your help on this, this is definately one of the best places around.
