wiak, keep us informed of that clocking man, i'm really eager to see the results of the 9850 and see how the 790FX deals with it, if the results are pretty good, i think i'll purchase also a 9850 BE :D

Yes i did and it works great. i found out 2GBs of my 4 GBs i have were bad from my boards dying on me. so im going to be buying a 2x2GB kit soon. i em able to overclock to 2600mhz atm but i think this ram im using right now isnt 100% staible :(

3,2-3,5 are good levels, considering the old phenoms had that barrier at 2,9-3 ... so i think this is totally a K10 "reinvented" and improved, as DaMulta says, i'm just waiting for the 45nm AMD new CPU's ... cause if the process with 65nm quads finally has been succesful, and according to these very first results i think it is, we will notice best improvements on the 45nm process, since the architechture of the chips has not to be changed.

GO AMD GO! :rockout:

so how many "Traitors" will come back home?

can you elaborate please?
i can only assume that you mean people switching from amd to intel and now back to amd...
is this what you meant?

DS4 shouldnt be a big problem, its just like 790FX with 2x PCI Express x18 @ 8 lanes, and a diffrent audio chip

The ds4 are 2x pci express x16 with single and x8 with crossfire. But that was about the only reason i wanted the ds5.

While I'm not looking for speeds that high (I prefer lower voltage as a personal preference) I AM looking forward to picking one of these up. That IS a ridiculous speed though 100% stable or not, just the fact that it was actually benched at those speeds is fantastic.

I'm trying to convince myself that I SHOULD NOT order one of these tuesday and just wait a little while longer...apparently I'm losing this argument :D. That should go very nicely with the GEIL Black Dragon I just put in (wow).

I'll stick with Intel for now. I'll take another look at AMD when they roll out the 45nm Phenoms. These Phenoms are definitely a step in the right direction, but Intel is still faster clock for clock.

What have you actually tried and what is your setup? I may be able to help you, also what is your experience with the Phenom lineup of processors...is this your first one?
