Which is better a single 2Gig stick or Dual Channel Mode 2 Gig

As stated in the title, which would you prefer if all you want is 2 gigs of ram?

EDIT: 2 sticks perform better than a single stick.

2 x 1gb = better than 1 x 2gb

as stated with the 2 stix you can run DUAL channel
