I went away for a few days and when I came back to start my computer, the pump was making a terrible noise, like when a wire gets caught in a fan. I have let it run for a bit and now it's just making a ticking noise. Temps are fine, but the is NOT normal. How would be best to proceed?

you could try taking it apart. I recommend XtremeSystems, ive heard of hot pumps and strange noises but no solutions. :(

Thanks for the suggestion, but I just bought the damn thing two weeks ago, I shouldn't have to take the pump apart to make it work.

you would need to RMA... unless you want to take it apart yourself... Does the pump have a speed controller? what happens when you change pump speed?

Take the silly thing apart, its no problem. There's a pic of the insides:

If anything is going nutz inside then it may could be the barb shaking itself apart.
