Hello all,

I'm going to be getting a new laptop, and I am thinking about selling my old ones. I know Sony has a program where if I give them my old laptops and they'll give me credit towards the purchase of a new Sony laptop, but I think I might get more for selling them. I'll post the specs so y'all can tell how much I might get for them.

That compaq in the retail market goes for between 599 and 999 depending on who you buy from.

The P4 (which was a bad choice for a mobile computer) probably would fetch around 200 or so at the top end.

I dont think youd get that for the compaq though. How much did you pay for it?

The Compaq cost me about $1500 when I bought it about 2 years ago. The HP cost me about $1000 when I bought it 5 years ago.

And yeah, the P4 sucks for a laptop. Currently it gets about 30 minutes on battery.

the compaq should fetch you about 400-500 euro (top 100 if $) depending on the condition you kept it..... the P4 no more than 300...
