I ordered a 9850 BE Phenom for my sig rig and right now I have a 5.5 nozzle in my fuzion block.
When I install the quad nozzle does it matter on its postion to the processor?
Should it be horz. or vert.? How should it be lined up with the processor.
Thanks

i think you want it like this :

So your saying mount it Vert.
But does it matter to which way the processor in mounted in the MB?

you would want the line in the nozzle to match up to the separation between the cores so that it diverts the water flow to the separate cores

Now to figure out where the separation is.

I'm not a w/c guru like intel. But how much would it matter? If any difference.

I'm not sure, but would like to know the best position possible to get the best cooling.

Yeah, I just started really sitting down and reading about watercooling. I mean, I know the basics. If anything, IMO, it would only make a difference of 1-3C.

1-3c would be a huge gain IMO. At 23.6c room temp my idle temp is 27c right now. 1c drop would be great!!!

But here's the difference, I am so used to air cooling that 1C to me isn't that great.
well the Phenom's are just one core right ? not like the intel Q's [][] I would just keep the one you have in there ;)

I'm pretty shure core orientation is the same as Intel CPU's
The nozle should be good for a few deg C
@ jR : thnx for the kind words ;) don't really know if you could call me a guru

I'm thinking your right about the Phenom's being 4 cores in one. Unlike the Intels which are 2 duals slapped together to make a quad. But they did get it to work very well.
