anyone hav the pin mod guide to turn a 400 (100) fsb socketc 478 into a 533(133). its one of thouse bsel wire tricks but im coming up blank.

i think this is the right ones, i need to find the intel specsheet, the 2 pins marked in red are for 1.7vcore

k, so what are the 2 pins in bright red with the rectangle around them? do i insulate bsel0 and conect thouse 2 or something??

just insulate bsel0 for the fsb, plastic sleeving fron a thin cable works best,
the 2 pins marked are for vcore increase to 1.7v, just connect them together with a small bit of wire,
only needed if the board doesnt have voltage ajustments.

no time to mess with wiring it, breaking the pin off now, im doing this to make a laptop p4 read as 133fsb default in a desktop board, otherwise im stuck at 100fsb, as this pos has no oc options....

NOTE: its working, 133fsb default volts, cant thank you enough.

that 1.7v volt mod for s478 is it safe to do?

on an old 1.8ghz willamette celeron i connected all 4 vid pins for 1.9v hehe, didnt do a damn thing for oc'ing though,
1.7v should be ok if u have decent cooling, and that the vcore circuitry is stable,
northwoods seem to die around 1.7 though
