If the ps3 could run 3dmark06, what would its score be? 15,000?
Has anybody ever tried to run it?

i dont think it would score highly cpu might?? tbh details are limited on xbox 360 playing cod 4 to get it to run smooth.
On my pc i can crank everything up high and make it look stunning and still run smoother than the 360.

when running Advanced War Fighter 2 on ps3, frame rate would get very choppy when fighting against lots of enemies. I was kind of disappointed, as it was almost unplayable, but it could be down to lack of optimization when porting to ps3.

Could get maybe 16500 or so. Them tricore cell broadband engine and Nvidia graphics may make it.

Apparently, 3d mark tests DirectX performance only. Linux does not use DirectX but OpenGL. It might be interesting benchmarking the ps3 under Linux/OpenGL, with something like GLO.B.S.
http://globs.sourceforge.net/. One of my future projects! :D

Cant WINE emulate DX? My guess is it would score around 10k. really low RAM/GPU score and like 9900 for the cpu lol
Wine can do DirectX up to an early verison of 9.0, but there is a way to import dx9.0c dll's. You wont be able to bench on 3rd party O/S regardless of because Sony locks the GPU.

I remember someone running XP on the PS3. Some one with a PS3 find the guide and try it, I'm interested in seeing how this turns out... do a Crysis Benchmark while your at it.

That was some one running a virtual machine (via qemu) on linux. As I said before, the GPU is locked, so no 3D acceleration. :(
