Mine is on order, anyone else getting one?. The trailers ive seen for some of the games are amazing. I have a Samsung 43" rear projection HD ready tv, but it has only got component connections on the back, do you think the higher resolutions will work with the component connections?

*not excited*
Screw console gaming, give it a few years and consoles can do more than PC's. Consoles become PCs, cycle restarts. Screw it... lol.

Xbox live and Halo 2 ruined console gaming for me. I will never go back, a PC is jsut sooooo much more customizable. Plus 90% of xbox live users are whiny teenage assholes ;)

Yeah, my Live subscription was messed up and Microsoft doesn't help people that have problems with Live, plus yeah, Halo 2 sucks so so so so badly, and also... Has anyone seen the 360 games? None, NONE look good yet. I mean these games show off maybe 20% of the system's power, it's like half the conversion of CS to CS:S (which was a great conversion, but half of that is nothing), which isn't good. The only game that shows off maybe 30% of the power is that Gundam game, but this is annoying. I would love to see what the 360 can do, I mean I can almost guarantee that this power will "blur the line" between real and virtual humans, like the PS2 did with Gran Turismo 3. I guess it's just up to the artists and programmers in software to catch up to hardware capabilities.

So, how about gameplay? Or doesn't that matter?
Personally I think gameplay is a lot more important, it keeps you busy, graphics don't.
I heard Xbox360 will get more games than the PS2 due to Sony asking a shitload of cash from developers.

Tell me about it, im not sure how Halo 2 ruined it for you. When I first got Halo2, that is all I would play, but I keep going back to driving games, such as Forza and Project Gotham Racing 2, as long as you keep the same cars, its only down to the racing and your knowledge of the tracks. Plus there is nothing better then slagging off a couple of young yanks, when you side swipe them in the last corner, to win the race.

I was originally thinking about getting an XBox360, but decided against it. I pretty much came to the conclusion that most games come out for the PC which come out on Playstation, XBox and Gamecube. So I figured why bother getting 1, 2, or all of them, instead get a bad ass gaming computer. Plus there will be new systems out in 2-3 years which you will need so you can play new games. A computer could last you a lot longer....if you build it correctly. So I just see it as a waste of money. Thats just my opinion. It maybe right or wrong, but thats my two cents on it.

I hav'nt seen Project Gotham or Grand Turismo on PC, dont get me wrong all the best shooters originally start on PC, but I am a racing and sports sim fan and the likes of Fifa and Pro Evo and the likes of Teken, Virtua Fighter and Dead or Alive are better suited to consoles, at least, for when you get back from the pub a bit pissed with a couple of mates and you all sit around the big telly, trying to knock 9 shades of shit out of each other or score the perfect goal, past your mate, its a bit difficult with a PC and a 17" monitor, no matter how powerful it is.

Yeah Forza rocks, its great online too, its nice to customize cars, but I think Project Gotham 2 has better handling and the kudos ranking system, is much more satisfying then just trying to better your time.

I'm a big pro evo fan and a fan of some old playstation games. So thats why I got an emulator for them and played tekken 2+3 on my nice big 28inch widescreen tv that my PC is connected to. :pimp:
Also bought pro evolution soccer 2 on the PS to play on PC and now that it has been ported over I have 3 and 4 and looking into getting 5. :D
I don't play games on a monitor. I use my TV out at 1024x768 with all the settings and AA/AF totally maxed out!! :rockout:
Only console I ever bought was a Sega Megadrive. (Genesis to the yanks out there:nutkick: )

You have to remember that your PAL TV only uses, I think 620x480 resolution, I think the PC will only look good if you have a HDTV and a card for the PC with the appropriate connections.
