2 day computer has crashed 2 times when i was on the web i just get this green screen with lines that go down it. also the cup is not oced. dose anyone know what it is. i have gotten this before but never 2 times in a row in such a short time.

Turn the fan speed up I had the same problem.

Sounds like a video card problem to me.

sounds like a cooling issue, give everything a good clean through get rid of that dust! (if applicable)

My first 3870 did that just before it died it lasted 2 days :(

Do you have any ramsinks on your vmem/vregs? If not, deffinitely run your gpu cooler as high as possible untill you do.

i have ram sinks on my gpu and ram and it has done this beffor but never like this so idk i allso have a moded bio for my hd3870 but i got that like a month ago

it might be but i can't tell what my cpu temp is cus asus makes crapy bios

No its the card. Turn the fan speed to 80%+ and it should fix it. The sensing thing that makes it go faster when it gets hotter is broke.

That they do.. The crappieness shows with typos and other errors... =( Good boards, bad BIOS... I'd say use another grapcis card to see if you get the same error. And if it WAS a heat issue, atleast with the CPU, the computer would just shut off (99% of the time atleast)

Or you could see if the fan is a 5V and if it is, wire it into the yellow and black molex cables. :) Nothin wrong with doin it the easy\crappy way.
