I built a rather quiet but warm build recently using a see through acrylic case. I used fan filters so I wouldn't have to deal with dust and knew that would increase the heat but I didn't plan to OC and thought I could deal with it. But its been a whole week and now I'm bored and want to OC a bit. Like the title says I have a E6550 at stock right now with a Zalman 9700 on it. The temps under full load in Prime 95 are already 50/51. I know more heat equal shorter life time, but I can safely say this computer will be dismantled and/or sold by the end of the year. I don't want a ridiculous OC, just a little. So whats a safe temp I should be careful at?

I thought you were kidding about the aquarium thing but that actually looks amazingly cool. The temperatures though bother me and I don't like the looks of it with the radiator. If I were ever to build a system not for gaming I might try something like that.
