Hello, i have a question. I took out my samsung stick as its only 133mhz 512mb to overclock my 200mhz 512 stick to 200mhz , i overclocked it and in cpuz it shows 200.5 mhz ,but my pc runs slower than before overclock. Any one got an idea why is that?

that verifies to me the ram is OK thats why I asked you to try it.
Also were both stick running at 133MHz b4 you clocked just the 200MHz one?
It may be the lack of ram making it feel slower. I say run SuperPi !.5 in both configurations to see if it IS slower or just FEELS slower due to lack of ram!

they were clocked at 133 obviously, pc wouldnt start if a 133 mhz stick was clocked to 200mhz
lemme try superpi

you have gone from 1gb of ram down to 512mb ram.. if you are running XP then you will notice quite a performance drop, even with the faster DDR...

you should try and pick up another 512mb stick of DDR400 ram, they are fairly cheap these days.

no worries, but you should be able to pick up a stick for around the 5-10 dollar mark... just for the hell of it.. ;)

sorry It was SuperPi 1.5 and you run a 1M test to see if it is faster running 1X200MHz 512mb (configuration) and then run testing with 2X133MHz 1GB (configuration)
Hope this is more clear!
For gaming I wouldnt trade down to 512mb of ram either!
