Is it just me or does it Nvidia seem to be not releasing drivers for their older chips. I tried the 9800 drivers and they don't work so great.:shadedshu

I've used just about every single driver including those "not compatible with G92" released during this year with my G92GTS 512MB and had no problems.

Which leads me to believe OP's problems aren't driver related.

The 174.82 and 174.85 beta too ;)
They recognize G92 cards :D

I thought the nVidia 17x.xx drivers were only for the 9 series geforce cards

The final WHQL versions are locked on last 9xxx releases but not the beta ones which work perfect ;)
Even my 8800 GS ID is in the list :D The last official ones for mine are the 169.32 :ohwell:
Now, i'm running on 174.82 ( XP ) and 174.85 ( Vista 64 ) : most perf drivers i've tested

Do these beta drivers perform better than the official 16x.xx for 88xxxxxxxx series cards?

I am using 169.61 from xtreme-g.
It works great.
I admit I was wary of trying out the 17x.xx ones since they said the 8800 series weren't supported.

Why do you want to change driver? Is it because some game/benchmark isn't performing as well as it should?

All the 174.xx i've tested on XP32, vista 32 and 64 were better than my official 169.32 drivers. I can't say for the 169.61 ... they not recognized my 8800 GS. Only 169.61 beta ( xtrem-g ) recognized it.
Since 174.xx ones, more stab on O/C, more perfs ... powaaaaa :rockout:
