ok a while back i bought my cousin a dell poweredge 500sc its a server i bought from work when it was going out of buisness it has a 1.1ghz processor and 256mb ram its a good sys for him and i had my spare r7500 so i was like throw in a $20 sound card and he has a lowend gaming sys.....well this was all ok and it ended up working after about 8 hrs :banghead: and alot of disk failures and IO errors.....but it cant be turned off because it wouldnt start no bios or anything no hdd activity .....so well my cousin fd up and my uncle hit the power switch.....well all fine and dandy exept ive been trying to start it for the last 3 hours :shadedshu sooo it is now a plead for help i have cleaned (again) all connections cleared the CMOS......and welll ya ive tryed starting it and no hdd activity it doesnt even spool up...DEAD...i do (have) noticed howerver a amber colored light...on the mobo and in the past when it boots that LED turns green....but other than that nothing not even code beeps to point me in the right direction...and DELL support sucks....the fans work but the floppy wont do anything not even on and neither is the disk drive wont open or anything....:mad: ....i was hoping to get some help ive asked questions and had answers and ive helped a couple ppl out...but nothing this serious ...:( ...thnx guys...and thats y i dont own a dell :)
