I can't find an MSI bios that has the clock speed fix for this card. I've tried to mod the original bios in RBE so that the subsystem ID would match the ATI fixed bios that will allow me to overclock higher. However, once I've modded the bios, it STILL will not flash to the card, and I continue to get the "Subsystem ID mismatch" error in ATI Winflash. Anyone want to take a chance and modify the bios for me or help me flash it, so I don't mess it up?

Here is a link to the MSI bios:

Here is what I want to flash it to:

So your MSI, is that who made your card then? Because between the 2 cards as far as I can see the only 2 differences is the Vendor ID.

You need to make sure your card can handle more voltage via softare adjustment first. Look here: http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=53220

I guess I'll have to take a look at my card, no one else seems to have a MSI 3870.

with this bios you shouldn't be core limited :
http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/1000/ATI.HD3870.512.071102.html

once installed, plz test stability on different OC values.

then use gpuz to extract the bios with good values,
or use atibioseditor to mod this bios above, with final values ;)
Like that, i've flashed my old 3870' Jetways, and the crossfire
was about 23.5k 3d06 @4.5ghz.

(for sure, all flash are risqued, only end user are responsible)
