Well my card idels at 61C underload so something is wrong it has to be. Anyone got any ideas here, cause under load ive seen it hit 97C. I just applied AS5 to it, temps did not drop really, from 63C to 61C isnt that great. Im wondering if my card is broken.

Just to note, my rear 120 is pulling air out, my my front 80mm and 120mm are pulling it in. Oh and i did clean the HSF unit with caned air

The highest I've seen my shiny new 8600gts is 66c, but it has a big ass cooler on it with a pci slot fan. Blow your cooler out with a can of air and see what happens. If you have poor wire management, work on it.

no OC, no voltmod.

Im thinking of getting a VF-700 for it now though. I dropped idel temp to 56C now though putting it from 40% to 100% but now its nosiey. My cooler was cleaned already, i did all the steps first, Im still candle but these temps worry me, not even my 6800GT got this hot oced to 450/1100 on the stock cooler back in the day

well wait till i get a paycheck and yea why not, anything to cool this down. The only cool running part in this whole PC is my x2 4200 EE @ 1.1V, its meant for 1.2V but runs fine @ 1.1 and idels at 33C, my room temp is 30C so im very happy

The VF900 fits on just about every single gpu card out there because of the many mounting hole patterns it has, so it could fit on your next card too! :D

got the temp down to 54C with the AC set to 65F lol

Candle, please be careful. I dont wanna see your card fried. Daedalus' VF900 is a great deal, best thing you could do with that stock cooler is about 53C idle with 100% fixed fan speed.
