OK I have a MSI MS-6378 motherborde with two SDR SDRAM running at 133MHz .
I just purchased a second 128MB SDRAM to go with the other 128MB I have, I put it in and the BIOS reports 128MB not 256MB I expected.
I swapped the moduals round and got the same answer.
Looking at my report from EVEREST, I think the second DIMM socket is not working. So I tryed upgradeing the BIOS, but no joy :(

Any other idears?

are you using double sided or single sided memory ?
becuase each side of a memory module occupais one bank, and sometimes, the number of usable memory banks is not equal to twice the number of usable memory slots
single side memory modules use one bank, double sided memory modules use 2,
i´ve seen boards with 3 slots and only 4 banks, or 2 slots and only 3 banks, so your problem might reside in the fact that even if you do have empty slots, you dont have memory bank positions to assign to those memory slots

Ur first listed DIMM uses all 4 of the MSI boards available banks. SO..You need another DIMM that only uses 2 banks.
