Ok, here's the problem:
I reinstalled Vista 64 and installed my 8800GTS's display driver (174.93). After reboot, Vista loads up, shows desktop and screen turns off after few seconds. Ok, rebooted in safe mode, uninstalled driver, ran driver cleaner and reboot again in normal mode - everything is ok, screen stays on. Then I installed older driver (169.25), reboot and BANG! screen turns off again. Now i'm sitting in safe mode with 800x600
What do i have to do to solve this?
Thanks. :)

And also is your monitor a DVI and/or HDMI? I've heard a lot of people say 8800 GTS does not like DVI or HDMI monitors.

Monitor is DVI. Before reinstall everything was fine with 169.25 drivers on Vista 64.

Run driver cleaner then do a manual file search you somtimes find files left behind
not been funny or anything but the 64bit versions are the worst to iron out bugs on.

hmm is your monitor in power saver mode? Also did you downloaded drivers from a cd and/or online. If you download them from a cd or online on the same computer you have the 8800 gts that might be a problem. Try installing and burning drivers on a cd in another computer and install it on the computer with 8800 gts. If that didn't work do it with a usb stick or any other storage devices.

I was writing reply while you posted it :)
Ok - i have no driver cd and as i remember, there was only XP driver in it (i have old G80 GTS, so i downloaded drivers from Nvidia homepage. I have a USB flash, so i will try to download drivers on another pc.
Btw i switched pc's power settings to maximum performance. Maybe this will help.

Try plugging the monitor into the other dvi slot. I had this with my Gfx card, it was turning off the monitor for dual display and cus nothing was labeled I had put my monitor into the secondary display slot as far as the driver was concerned.
