Hello,
I am new to these forums and recently reformated my computer. I got the latest DNA ...5.10 ATI drivers and installed those (from guru3d). Aside from that, got ATI Tools and that's about it. I then ran ATI Tools, according to the tutorial i found in the forum, and it said to run "Find Max Core" for an hour and "Find Max Mem" for an hour and apply the results accordingly. Well, i started to run "Find Max Core" and after two hours, all that had happened was that, my greyed out "Core" slider thing went down some. So instead of the original 378 core speed, it was at 368... is that suppose to happen?. I figured it was a mistake so i restored defaults, restarted and tried to do it again. This time i left to go get something to eat and came back and my screen had wierd artifacts with lines all over it and there was an error message that i had no idea what it said because the screen was so distorted/messed up. I restarted and that's where i stand right now. Everything restarted fine and i think it's back to norm, no problems yet, but what was this and why, even when ATI Tools did work, was my Core lower than default after 1 hour of "Find Max Core". Was i not patient enough? Explain/Help please?
