if this is for a company, paid the $300 and get it. if for some reason its personnel, then any of the free ones will be fine.

It's being demoed as a work station, and I have no $ for anti-virus... None of the free ones want to work on it except Clam, but Clam is not really appropriate since I'd like on-access scanning.

You could try using Orca to modify the install file to eliminate version checks.

How about Nod32 ?

I'll give that a try... Most installers though are .exe not .msi =\

Kaspersky has msi installers.

How, may I ask? Orca, or perhaps a "fre trial"? lol

a slightly extended trail of Avast. Not my personal choice, but it will do until I have more time. =)

I use nod 32 on the beta (of server 2008), not sure if the licence covers the full version though
