Ive got an agp Asus X800 Pro Vivo flashed to an X800XT PE. It will run all the way up to 590/590 but if i raise the core higher than that, it will lock up.... its not getting any artifacts and the GPU temp never goes above 52C (zalman cooled) so i think its just running out of juice. i was thinking about starting out with the pencil mod and going from there. any thoughts or advice?
Plus i want to hit 7k in 05 :) So close

Very very nice clocks. With voltmod you should easily hit 7000-7100 in 3d mark 2005.

well i finally got around to the pencil mod and bumped the gpu voltage from 1.4v to 1.5v... temp never goes above 58C with my zalman VF700-CU

Im gonna do some more testing and also bump the ram voltage up.
How high should i let the GPU temp go? It never goes above 58C now so i imagine i have some more room to go... with the stock cooler it would hit 72C at regular PE speeds

also the article says safe voltage for aircooling is like 1.5v.... at that voltage my temps are 58C, so is there any reason i couldnt push it to say 1.6v as long as my temps stay down?
