ok, due to popular demand im opening a thread to see if we can find the holy grail of all processor fans! the bigger the better! a few rules though, just to keep it in order:
1. No spam, just descriptions, pictures and prices.
2. No, under ANY circumstances, hijacking, or else the thread WILL be closed.
3. No flaming, verbal abuse or threats. Even in joke form.
4. No double posting
5. And the final rule, have fun!
Im going to kick this thread off with this: Scythe Mugen, weighs almost 1kg MINUS the fans!

Ok i'll do it tomorrow (it's 0:24AM here and i'll go to bed soon, + i must find at least 2 more mounting brackets).
Right now cpu is 35°C. Don't know about load temps. Yeah it's pretty hot, but that's because mine Mugen's base is bit scratched and i'm using no thermal paste. + fan is running @ half speed.
BTW goin' ghetto :D

I have only some crappy thermal paste (cpu tem went up by 5 degrees and gpu by whole 10 degrees (:eek::eek::eek:) when i applied it), so cpu is running without it. I'll buy AS5 when it will be available in local stores.

05-04-2008, 07:22 AM
No. Look at the fan blades of that rifle cooler (second), you find such blades on CM coolers, not Intel stock. Intel stock coolers are made by either Foxconn (Taiwan/China) or Sanyo-Denki (Japan). These are 3rd party coolers that CM sells to OEM's that buy just the chips from Intel/AMD and use 3rd party cooling (which mysteriously brings down mfg cost).

That = totally incorrect.
May someone explain to me why MSI's boards flex so much? It depends from manufacturer to manufacturer, ASUS/Gigabyte use what I'd call average in stiffness, while DFI just makes really god damn stiff boards compared to the rest. (which is good)
