Okay, so the about a week and a half ago it started snowing like crazy. I got a bad feling n went downstairs to turn off my recent build and just as i was about to click shut down, the power went out. Upon restarting my computer, the MI platform screen displayed for longer than usual and after that it loaded up windows. It did this for about 3 days until windows began to just blue screen on me. I wiped out my hard drive and reinstalled windows, and its run stable since, although the msi platform screen still displays for longer than it used to on boot up. Now here's another problem. I just tried playing Unreal Tournament 3, which this thing used to handle like cake... and its chuggy as hell. :( anyone have any ideas on what i should do?

Try reseting CMOS. Then boot into BIOS and check/verify settings.

Yeah, when the system dropped it might have rebooted with default BIOS settings.
(ie. Longer POST test, etc.)
