Well I have an 8800GTS 640MB XXX.My temps with the default fan are 88C on load. With 100% fan it is 80C.

I contacted XFX about this and they said that I dont have to worry about ANYTHING as long as my temps are below 95C.And they said that they dont recommend running the fan at 100% all the time even if the noise doesnt bother you. They basically said that I should run the default fan speed with my current temps.I clearly told them in my post that the lifespan of the card is my priority and the noise of the fan isnt a botheration to me at all.

What do you guys think?

My brothers eVGA 8800GTX gets mid 80's with stock fan settings.

And technically yes XFX are correct when saying anything below 95degC is fine.

My first XFX 8800GT xXx 512mb VF830 was faulty and would hit 95degC when texture corruption and system freezing would occur.
My replacement 8800GT hits 71degC max load but the G92 core produces less heat the the G80.

So anything under 90degC is fine.
