I think of buying a new XpertVision 9600GT 512mb Sonic.
as I could find in few benchmarks it performs very well, almost as good as the 8800GT.

I have two questions about this card:
1. This card has 2 DVI outputs. can't find if they are DVI-I or DVD-D (digital only) ones. will it work with my old VGA monitor (an old 19" LCD monitor with no DVI connector), using a DVI to D-Sub connector ?
2. will it work on a PCIe x16 ver.1 slot ? I know it should be backword competible.

thanks
Tal

To both questions yes, it will work just fine. It should (would think anyways) include a couple DVI-VGA adapters.

Indeed, provided you have the right connector, DVI to VGA shouldn't be a problem at all. My 3850 is hooked up to a VGA monitor without any issues. Can't really tell the difference between DVI and VGA anyways.

thanks for the replys :toast:

I prefer the VGA connector, also for my other computer that do have a DVI monitor, simply because I can see the monitor when I boot up and not only when windows is loading.
