I have an Sapphire X800 and this morning when I turned on the PC it displayed a no power error message.

I tried switching power cables and supply but none of them worked. I'm sure i cannot RMA it anymore for several reasons. I think something is broken and could easily be fixed. Anyone or w1zzard pls help me.

I think if I know where to bypass some transistors I could get it back to work.

HELP ME PLS!!!! I need the card for my due projects. I do not have any spare vid card and cannot afford to buy one. HELP ME!

What brand is your PSU, and what are the figures for the voltages and amps?

I forgot the brand. I painted the PSU and covered the brand name with paint. The rails are fine I tested it with a tester. The amps are also fine. I do not have many fans running in my rig nor any lights.

Try to start your pc with minimum hardware.

Just 1 mem, cpu and video!
No HD, no CD, no DVD and no audio.

Will see if it starts.

Get off your card from your PC and try it on another computer just to be sure that the card is your problem!
If it is damaged install it again, switch on the PC and try to find Vcore, Vdd and Vddq. If you find them unfortunately probably the core is dead. If not the card could be fixed.

Good luck:)

if the voltages are ok, how can I fix it?

If the voltages are ok, then it means the core's died, as the problem doesn't lie with the power management of the graphics card. You'll need to see about getting a replacement.

Sorry man :(
