hey again guys. its about my 8800GTS 320MB, in some programs it says that i have 320mb of video card ram but when i check it in display properties it says i have 1087mb of ram, im a bit lost, same when i use dxdiag to see my specs, and it says that i have 1051mb total ram or something, still lost. Heres a list of what it says in display properties,
TOTAL AVAILABLE GRAPHICS MEMORY: 1087MB
DEDICATED VIDEO MEMORY: 320MB
SYSTEM VIDEO MEMORY: 0MB
SHARED SYSTEM MEMORY: 767
If i could get any help, much appreciated, cheers.

lol, i know but this video card shouldnt be doin that, I thought video cards that have turbo cache or low budget ones did that, dont think nvidia make em like that anymore, i just wish i could disable it.

It's like the AGP aperture, basically your system can use system memory as extra video memory when required. However, this memory isn't dedicated to your videocard so there hardly is any reason to switch it off.

yeah mate it does that i dont know why, i have got the same memory card and it shows the same thing.
done worry its just a glitch btw what OS are you running. if your running vista 64 then dont worry its a stupid glitch.
i was worried about it when i first got the card but i just ignore it. it doesnt affect performance in anyway
