there was an option in xp , "apply to all folders" in tools / folder options . but the same option does not work in vista . so do i have to set each folders view properties individually ?

how do i make all icons in all folders appear as "Large Icons"

Sorry Wolf, I'm don't have a Vista machine to try it on here at work.
Looks like it would be a combination of getting Vista to remember the settings first (the link), and then set a directory to large Icons and then set all folders the same.

Have you tried this option?

I think it's unchecked by default and therefore set as 'forget each folder's settings' which is a bit pointless lol
