Well i got offered a trade on my 8600GTS to a pair of 7950GT's i didnt get the offer here though, a friend offered it to me, he wants a card for wifes that doesnt need a new PSU so he offered me 2x7950GT for my 8600GTS. Now my board isnt SLI so is it worth it to buy an SLI board or sell both cards?

If you play DX10 games, sell them and get a better 8800 series card. If not, then sell them anyway. :)

Get rid of the 7950's, unless you wanted to fire up 2 terminals that dont really require high end gpu performance, inwhich case your better off keeping them as it will run 2 pc's.
No, a Windows CD Key for XP Pro will not work on
a Windows XP Pro cd with Service Pack 2 Embedded.
Vista is a disgrace to modern programming.

If that is the case, all he has to do is download a copy of XP Pro w/out the service pack and use the serial, download and install SP2 and hes set. A little more time consuming yes, but it can be done. Or what he could do is get a copy of XP Pro, download nLite and stream SP2 into it and use an unintended install if he'd like. Or just use it to stream SP2 in and then burn to a disc.

Back that up. My guess you used it over a year ago or in its RC stages and have yet to form a new found opinion on it. Dont say drivers either. Dont even bother saying its a RAM hog either because that is the whole point of having more RAM. The system uses it so things can get done quicker. The more the better.

regarding the Windows XP -
You can easily install windowsXP (original) and install the SP2 later.
but if you install on SATA drive it won't be that easy :(
WinXP (original) does not include SATA HD support. you must have your Mobo SATA/RAID drivers ready on a floppy (asuming you still have one in your computer :P ) and use it when you have the option to use 3rd. party drivers just at the beginning of install.
if you have small IDE HD you can install winXP on it, install SP2 install Mobo SATA/RAID drivers and clone this to the SATA HD
Since you have a 80gb (as I can see in your system spec) asume it's not a SATA drive and you can take the easy lane of installing WinXP and install SP2 later.
if you ever think replacing to a bigger SATA HD install your mobo SATA/RAID drivers before you clone your HD or it won't boot.

its SATA and its Nforce4 so it mimicks IDE anyway.
hope you'r right
I suggest you to have the RAID/SATA drivers ready on a floppy before install

With the XP thing, I'm pretty sure you can use SP2 disc with any serial. I have an old serial I used to use with a compaq SP1 disc but now I use it with my sisters less then a year old SP2 disc and it works the same basically.
