only had up to 2000 grit paper so its not mirror shinny, but close. once i move my rig into my rocketfish case i'll have room to actually use it on my 8800gt. thinking of doing a vmod on that card aswell, should have plenty of cooling power.

Looks nice man, good job :toast:. I've heard before that having a flat and even surface is more important than having one that's mirror shiny, though I don't know how true that is.

Very true itsover, you can tell it's flat because there's no distortions in the reflection. When i was lapping my HR-03 Plus, I found it was very concaved. Had to use 400 grit for ages before i got it all flat and down to the copper.

yep, took a long time to get the very center of the block down to copper. but really it only took about 45 minutes or so to do it. i think i will do the ihs on my e2180. depending on how it comes out and if it still works afterwards, i may do me q6600.
