Hey everyone!
Just a week ago, my graphics card suddenly kept getting a VPU recovery error or the computer would just suddenly lock. In both cases, the resulting error after a VPU recover or restart would be an error with ati2dvag.dll. It progressively got worst to the point that when I attempted to start my system, the monitor got no signal whatsoever. After leaving my system offline for a couple hours, signal to the monitor was restored, but the output was full of garbled colourful squares everywhere. If I rebooted the system, the output is a lot better, but occasional graphics errors were appearing. However, when the system locked again, and I forcefully rebooted the system (using reboot button on tower), my Nf7-S gave me the beep error signifying that the motherboard was unable to detect the videocard. It has now been a week since that has happened, and the video card continues to be not detected by the motherboard.
The GPU heatsink is still heating up so I know the card is indeed receiving power. However, the motherboard stil does not detect it even after attempting to reseat it several times. I have even tried it on a different computer, but no signal was being received from the monitor
What I'm curious to know, is it possible to destroy the video card bios after a forced restart? Secondly, for those who've accidentally killed their Radeon by a bad flash, does the system give any beep errors, or should the motherboard still be able to detect that the graphics card is installed even though the bios is corrupted?
Thanks!
