I was thinking about buying the Acer
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009094

But based on the Looks my wife wants the LG.

Are they reliable? Good warranty support?

Thanks

The LG would probably be the better quality, but the Acer is good as well. I have an Acer AL2223W 22" and I love it.

The LG outperforms the Acer due to the 2 ms ultra fast response time. :D

We thought about it and then we decided to spend on a nice vacation. So we are taking a break next weekend. No new monitor:cry: Can't watch HiDef on the new monitor. May be few months later.:banghead:

Thanks.

Dont worry suraswami, everyone needs a small vacation every once in a while. Time with a loved one is worth more than anything/everything in the world.

But ....

That LG is very nice.

yeah. Both of us need a break. My kid will be enjoying the most. the walk in the woods, calm and quiet.

I might put it on my BB card and pay it off in 3 months. But what do I do with my 19" BENQ LCD?

Like your display spanned horizontally over dual monitors.

I would say the LG is better in this case if you are looking for something with a good response time or a nice contrast ratio. But Acer are really dependable. Have one myself, the X223WBD and it is quite nice i must say

ok narrowed my search to the following

Option 1. Gateway - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824113011

2. LG - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8739092&productCategoryId=pcmcat143700050048&type=product&id=1201913867402

3. Samsung - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001268

4. HP - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176091

I like the fact that Gateway has VGA, DVI, HDMI and Component Video inputs. Later someday I can use this monitor as a small TV in my sons room. Ofcourse I need good speakers.

HP also has VGA and only HDMI. No DVI. They include HDMI cable but I need to buy a DVI to HDMI adapter.

Samsung and LG has little bit better picture. Gateway and HP are comparable but bad either.

I am leaning toward Gateway. Is it good. any suggestions?

Well, the HP and Gateway are not really that different, only gateway has 2 more hook-ups it looks like. I would personally say the LG cuz its cheaper and you have better contrast ration, plus 2 ms response time...but the samsung is also good. so either LG or Samsung id say...but the Gateway is better for HD than the rest.
