Im a little bit concerned about my 8800GT. i have ASUS smartdoctor running, and its indicating that the temp is around 50 degrees celsius (+/-2) idle (looking at pictures, on the internet, etc). now thats ok i hope, but i was just (around 5 minutes ago) playing on Call of duty 4, and all my video locked up - music carried on playing but my display froze. upon reboot the fan spun upto 100% for about a minute or so, rather than the usual 5 seconds. Now im really worried for the health of this card, i dont want it to cook itself, 5 months down the line. ive never had troubles like this before, and its not like my case is poorly ventilated - an antec 900 with plenty of space around it - so im confused. its running @ stock levels atm, no overclock or anything. Is it time to turn to watercooling? If so, what kind of kits are there on the market for what im after?

cheers TPU.

I've heard Arctic Cooling Accelero S1s are the best heatsinks for 8800GTs, they only cost about £15-20, and can even be used passively and still get much better temps than stock (as long as you have sufficient airflow). Just make sure you have enough room as it takes up 2-3 slots depending on whether you add a fan.
