Should I Prefetch just the boot files and then just add a command to individual programs to be placed into the Prefetch? I was thinking that would keep the unwanted stuff out and make the stuff I specify faster launching. Anyone experiment with this Windows Tweak?

prefetch boot files only. Prefertching TOO many files can just cause it to slow down instead of slow up. LMAO slow up.

i also learned that XP becomes very zippy without the page file enabled, warning only with over 2 gigs of ram is recommended to do this.

well i made it where prefetch is only for bootup items, but it seems there is only 1 item that is in the bootup, i was expecting services that are started automatically to be in there, also how do you add additional programs to the prefetch beyond boot items?

Use a boot time defrag program such as perfect disk or BootVis.

tweaking the prefetch to boot items only did improve boot speed, just want to add other items to prefetch.
