He just got his leave as you all know, he recived a ticket for an action he did not take. A police station got egged, shortly before he got pulled over for an out tail light and they saw the cartoon of eggs. And decided to ticket him without proof. The USMC has now restricted him to base full time, 6 months lockdown for this. Which also means i have to move again. What would actully happen to him if i sent this story to ABC, NBC and FOX networks, because i know they'd eat this up and give the corp alot of bad plablicty for this. My personal opion is fuck the corp if they can screw people like this

Yep.

My uncle couldn't have children due to his cleaning up bio harzardous materials without a suit, as if you are wearing a suit and doing it it can cause a media stir and be bad publicity. My father doesn't speak of the things he did very often, but he was involved in missle tests among other things for the Navy.

My mom's brother is gone for 9 months out of the year last I knew, 6 months of that spent under sea ice or whatever else you can do in a tin can underwater. Tore up his family not having him home, and when he was home he was a asshole.

Having known people in the military and been around them, it changes you, and not for the good in most cases. There are alot of people who learn beneficial skills, such as leadership and integrity. But in a poll done on those joining, most joined to have fun, shoot guns, they thought it was cool, and or to kill a person.

Very few joined out of a dedication for what the military is supposed to stand for. I feel sorry that so many feel the need to have such power over another individual or the need to harm.

Interesting. Link to those stats if you have them. Very powerful conclusions

One of many.

They majority of recruits are from low income areas, with little else for work and or with a want to get out of the area, and the military is touted to them as the way out.

When you are in the military you are a possession of the US Government. The same as a jeep or truck. You can be ordered to kill, even innocent people, and if you refuse you are imprisoned.

Perhaps such a idealistic view of soldiers and their reasons in joining needs to be tossed. They join to escape, to hide away from their lack of making decisions and taking direction in their life, for the money, for the glory, for the cool factor. Nothing inherently wrong with any of those by themselves, but that lack of true motivation by this generation is clearly disturbing to me.

Yep, I speak from experience of 8 years myself in the USAF. I don't recommend that anyone joins the military, especially with the war in Iraq.

so he got a ticket for driving with a broken tail light? isn't that protocol? but then the marines confined him to his base for 6 months over a ticket for a broken tail light?

All depends on his commander. I've seen people with a DUI get a slap on the wrist and others (like myself) lose an entire stripe over missing a stupid CDC test.

"Hey, donkeys, people also eat eggs."

In the military you are governed by the "UCMJ" (the uniformed code of military justice). The military has the right to enforce any regulation they see fit at any time. The UCMJ is an ever evolving animal. As for the egg incident they in fact have the power to enforce and punish without real "due cause". Unlike civilain law they must have these things to enforce or detain persons under suspision. I feel for your bro I really do, but he signed on the dotted line and knew what he was getting into. They beat it into your head in boot camp.
Take it from a former Marine..... it sucks I know!!

candle didnt make it clear if the ticket was written because of a broken taillight or because of carrying eggs in a car. you cant get a ticket for carrying eggs in your car...

Seems like he got a ticket for the taillight and a ticket for egging a police station?

It could have been a flock of birds flying bye laying eggs to lighten the load or highly trained assasin birds.

That's what's so confusing. ;)

Unless it's a ticket you redeem when you get out of jail. :D

Has nothing to do with that. You sign a contract, you are property of the US government.

You forgot the difference between military and civilian as well. Civilian you are innocent until proven guilty. Military you are guilty until proven innocent.
