View Full Version : Iwill DH800 jumper setting
Hi all
Manual for Iwill DH800 is somewhat fastidious. There´s 4 ones:
JP1 Clear CMOS
JP16 BIOS Flash Protect
JP3 CPU FSB
JP3A CPU FSB
For JP1 & JP16 both are described at 1-2 for normal use in manaul but are set to 2-3 at motherboard when delivered.
JP3 & JP3A are both mentioned in manual but options are not described. Set to 2-3 at motherboard when deliverd.
Any one know how to use them ?

JP1 Clear CMOS
Clear CMOS by shorting the jumpers
JP16 BIOS Flash Protect
This jumper protects the system from unnecessary updating or flashing.
JP3 CPU FSB
JP3A CPU FSB
These are used to set the mobo FSB speed, according to the manual.
What mobo is it? Fill out some spec's and we can further help you with them.
It´s a Iwill DH800 board. Got it along with a Iwill DNS for next to nothing due to previous user hadn´t got the hardware to try it out.
I know settings for JP1 & JP16, besides my that manual should be better.
Problem is JP3 & JP3A. Settings not not described in manual. Do you know them ?
Do you know if this board is compatible with 2.80MHz/800MHz/2M cpu´s?

The DH800 as I recall was the one donating some BIOS code to a PC-DL to support Nocona. So yes those CPU's should work fine in it.

I just went through the manual, could not find it either, I am looking everywhere trying to find it, I'll get back to you on that.

It is compatible with Socket 604 Intel Xeon's. This one (http://www.intel.com/cd/ids/developer/asmo-na/eng/dc/64bit/index.htm) should be just what you are looking for, don't have a retailer with it yet though.
Thank´s guys
Found jumper JP3 & JP3A at board and how they should bu used.
Problem is (for both JP1, JP16, JP3 & JP3A) is that pin 1 isn´t marked onboard.
Regarding cpu support: as I recall it (but not shure of), most s604 motherbard is compatible with 1M and 2M cache cpu´s as long as BIOS support it.
DH800 manual state "Support 2MB L3 cache Intel Xeon processors" at page 58.
Any comments ?
Update: my cpu´s are:
General Features:
Intel Xeon Processor (2800DP, Dual Processor)
2.80 GHz CPU Speed
800 MHz Bus Speed
2 MB L2 Cache
Socket 604 CPU
Micro-FCPGA package type
1.25V- 1.4V VID Voltage Range

hard to believe others out there still push this motherboard. mine just died today when i swapped everything out for a new case. i heard a pop somewhere, but i see no damage anywhere. however, video won't post and so i now cannot boot my newly built rig.
i'm commenting here because i'd like to know if you have any clue where i can find another one as the google gods have left me stranded, and even the junkyard of ebay is empty.
if you want to sell the one you scored for cheap, let me know. if anyone knows where i can pick up another working dh800, i'd be appreciative.
i'm not interested in dropping another 1000 bux on a socket 771/775 setup as i have a great setup with what i'm running, and it's been a nice quiet rocket for over 2 years now.
(2) 2.8gHz 1MB cache xeon's (nocona or irwindale ? - i forget).
4GB PC3200 DDR2 2-3-2-5 Patriot RAM
true power 550
i need to find another dh800!
