My opinion = one of the best looking guitars :p
Sounds nice too, might change the pickups tho... a bit too thick. Need to get used to it, just switched from a super stiff stringed Steel acoustic... not used to the super soft strings that this guitar is installed with.

I don't mean to put you down but that sir, is one crappy guitar. First off, it's an LTD ESP which is basically a cheaper version of a true ESP. What does this mean? Quick fret wear and a shorter overall lifespan.
I can understand if you don't have enough money to afford a god-like guitar but you should save up. I thought my Ibanez was the stuff until my friend let me play his gibson. Trust me, you get what you pay for. Expensive guitars are a lot easier to play and are more versatile.

What ever, a new guitar is always nice. Sometimes a crappy guitar can help build finger strength and forces you to play better. I totally agree Gibson is one of the best, but ESP's are solid.

That wasn't very nice of you. Don't have to point out the obvious mate, I know it is a LTD and not the ESP Standard, you think I'm a total dumbarse? How ignorant can you be?
ANYWAY.
I'm probably going to get the ESP Edwards Forest GT next

If you swap out pick-ups, I'll buy them off you.
Our guitarist has been too reluctant to do it, so I've become the default guitar tech!!
Let me know...

I've got a BC Rich Warlock - it's a bit of a beast XD
Oh and a heavily modded Strat, i'll try and get some photos soon
There's my modded strat... Two of the rubbish pickups are out, new fingerboard, built-in overdrive distortion (kinda hard to see all the knobs, but there are 2 extra switches to power it all up and turn it on and an Overdrive knob) and the internals have been totally rewired. I set one of the pickup switch positions to front+back humbucker pickups for that added crunch with the overdrive :toast:

I'm a Les Paul man. I have a Studio locked away in storage.
Never liked ESP guitars, especially any that have active pick ups. They just have no tone or soul to me. But, that's just my opinion. Guitar tone is a "to each his own" kinda thing.
I have a Martin for an Acoustic.

I'm not a guitar person (drums), but I think it looks good. There are so many different brands types out there its more of a personal taist thing. If you like it! Then it kicks ass :rockout:

My friend has a beautifull Gibson epiphone "whats so good about that i hear you say" well the serial is 01 its actually the first show piece from when epiphone asked gibson to make them a guitar its worth around £30.000 uk $60.000 us lol and its mint!!! and he wont part with it either hes had so many offers from shops and collecters and private collecters willing to pay more and hes just not interested and i cant blame him lol.

There's no set definition. It's up to the individual to interpret, but to me, guitars that have no warmth at all, have no personality. But you have to realize, I think shredding is lame, and blues licks are where it's at.

i'm a guitarist myself. Addicting shit, as soon as that squire rolled by my house, my post count dropped big time.
Prior to that I was a violinist for four years. I had a lot of musical training so when I picked up the guitar, I found out stuff fast. One year I have been playing now, self taught.
It feels good that I can beat all the people I know (some have been playing for a while) and have better equipment than me in everything from blues to the shredding stuff.
The key-> Experimentation, and getting YOUR sound, screw written music, my music has more emotion, and feels like me because it is made by me.
/ramble off.
For the B-day tomorrow I is hopin to get a Highway 1 strat. Honey blonde with a nitro finish oooh baby! Dang frontman broke down on me though. *hopes for a Vintage Modern*

You hit the nail on the head right there. Have you played with alternate tunings at all? I especially like playing around with Open tunings and DADGAD. The possibilities are endless.
Also, I was just curious, how easy was it for you to adjust from an instrument tuned to 4ths, to one tuned to 5ths?
russianboy

I have messed around with different tunings.
But I was always limited by my guitar, the frets were flat (the thing is like, four years old), the action is too low near the headstock, and too high near the bridge, and the thing is a mess. It sounded pretty bad, but yeah, I've done half step down, whole step down, half and a whole down, 2 steps down, half step up (gave a very nice "happy" sound).
The violin is also tuned in fifths, the contrabass is the one that's tuned in fourths, I'm not sure how that works in an orchestra setting, but it does, so I'm not questioning it.
Plus the bass is so low down nobody can hear anything besides thump-thump, except my teacher.
But the feel of the instrument were radically different, one one side a hollow instrument with very tense strings, and it's very easy to hit a wrong note. On the other is a fretted, heavy instrument that can get me any sound I want.
But the hardest was to learn the guitar's little "advantages", bending, sliding, tremolo, vibrato, that stuff. I picked that up pretty quick, and a month in of owning the guitar I started making my own music.
That thing is hard to put down, and I am glad that I am into the guitar, because it's pretty much all I do nowadays.
