I have just built a HTPC and i am looking at adding a blu-ray ROM drive, what are some things to look out for when buying blu-ray drives and what drive would you suggest and why..
I have to be honist the cheaper the better

What are the specs for the HTPC?
His specs are on his signature.
One plus on your rig is that you board has HDCP, a major component in HD viewing.
It really doesn't matter which BR-Rom you get, they all should do the same function. Sony, LG, Pioneer, and Lite-on are all good companies.

yeah thanks guys, i forgot to mention i was in australia, but if lite-on is a decent brand i can get a basic blu-ray ROM for $156 aussie

4x read is pretty good, go for it.
