sata recorgnised as removable

Just connected a new Sata disk in a friends PC but it is being recorgnised as an external drive by windows, anyone know why? its working fine just recorgnised wrong.

perhaps its setup as eSATA, but if you mean a little icon in the task bar saying you can remove the sata then thats quite normal as hotswapping is capable on most mobo's

Yepper. Hotswap removable sata drives are quite popular now and as spooky said, most mobos are set up for it. If it's working fine, no worries......
