I figured this was the best area to post this...here goes. Im looking to run my Comcast™ digital cable box into my PC. Or someway to watch TV on my PC's monitor rather then my 20 year old tube tele. =[
The thing is...I can't figure out what I'd need. Do I just get a TV tuner from newegg or whatever or can I go through Comcast to hook it up?
Anyways, any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

I use a HD USB stick. Just hook the cable up to it and you are good.:)

Just grab a TV Tuner, like the one from my specs, and you'll be set... just grab a splitter and you'll be watching TV threw ether Windows (if you have media center, or Ultimate) or threw the cd they give you

Awesome. Much appreciated! =]
you can use a TV tuner card as suggested, or a USB tuner device. this will also enable you to record TV shows to your computer.
another option is buying a monitor that also support TV/Cable input. this way you can watch TV without turning on your computer.
I have two Samsung 225ms in the kids rooms, which I can highly recommend.
